Not long ago, we launched a voucher competition. In just one month, we received 125 applications from women experiencing difficult life circumstances.

We managed to select 20 women who advanced to the second stage of the competition — interviews with our team. We promise to choose with both heart and mind, and we believe that our support will empower those who truly deserve it.

Training Programs Chosen by the Participants
Leading the list are trainings in nail services, hairdressing, cosmetology, depilation, and trichology.

Also among the popular choices are courses in psychology, psychotherapy, and sexology.

Education

Most of the contestants have completed higher education (over 70%).

“Our team reviewed 125 applications submitted by women in difficult life situations. It’s incredibly moving to read these forms and see that despite the hardships they face, women continue to move forward.”

Seventy percent of the applicants have higher education, yet still encounter challenges with employment and career development. We want to support women and emphasize that there’s no shame in learning, and it’s never too late to gain new knowledge.

By filling out the application, you’ve already taken a huge step toward improving your life. We are proud of you!” — adds Kateryna Dovbnia, coordinator of the crisis support program.

The assistance is provided by the NGO Feminist Workshop as part of the project “Civil Society for Enhanced Resilience in Ukraine.” The project is implemented by a consortium led by the Danish Red Cross in partnership with the Danish Refugee Council and DIGNITY, with support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
