Last week our office turned into the space for the workshop on combating human trafficking which was organized thanks to the efforts of the activists and volunteers of IOM.

Participants learned how to ensure safety when searching for work or moving abroad, and heard the testimonies of people who were subject to exploitation.
When playing out the scenarios and answering the questions participants studied different types of exploitation and challenged the stereotypes regarding human trafficking.
We have also found out where and how can we look for help in such situations, about the work of IOM, and help those affected by trafficking

In addition, we learned that the 527 hotline not only offers help for those affected by human trafficking but also provides consultations for everyone searching for information and wanting to play it safe and avoid danger.

We are grateful to the activists for such a beneficial experience and look forward to further collaboration opportunities! We are also grateful to the YMCA for introducing us to each other.
