This year, we’ve organized over 65 events of various formats for older women. We’ve managed to build a real community of active participants, with shared group chats where we exchange news and — our favorite — send Viber postcards (because what would we do without them?).

When we heard about the film “Nice Ladies” by Mariia Ponomariova, we shared the announcement in our group chat. The women were interested, but they rightly pointed out that the screening started quite late — at 7:30 PM.

But then our chat member Raisa saved the evening! She took the initiative to write directly to the “Planeta Kino” cinema and arranged for a daytime screening of the film. We are so proud of her!

Our team couldn’t stay on the sidelines — thanks to donations from our community, we purchased movie tickets. And so, we gathered our group and went to see “Nice Ladies.”

“It was a perfect match: this film, our participants, a daytime screening. We’re thrilled that everyone who wanted to come could find the time to see this movie — because it’s about breaking stereotypes. It’s a film about women, and for women, who actively advocate for their interests because they know they are worth it!” — added Katia Dovbnia, coordinator of the crisis support direction.

We really recommend going to see this film!
