At the beginning of May, our media coordinator Anya participated in the international project And.Period focusing on menstrual health. Organized by Erasmus+, it was held on the Tenerife island.
“We got invited to the project by the NGO Tolerance in You, and for that, I am really grateful.The week spent on the island has shown me that we all live in different contexts. It was valuable to look into the experiences of activists from different countries, learning about the attitudes to menstruation in Belgium, Poland, Spain, and Croatia.
Sadly, menstruation is considered a taboo topic everywhere. I promise that we will do our best to shift the attitude in Ukraine,” Anya says.
During the week, our team member visited workshops (and even organized a meme workshop for participants), learned more about menstruation and the menstrual cycle, and searched for new solutions.
