The main component of the Ukrainian Feminist Kitchen is discussion and the other one is collective drawing practice.

This time the discussion is dedicated to exploring the intricacies of elections in Ukraine amidst the backdrop of war, with a particular focus on the role of feminists. Against the complex geopolitical landscape of Eastern Europe, this discussion will offer a regional perspective, drawing parallels with neighboring countries such as Poland.

As Ukraine copes with the challenges of holding elections amid ongoing war, we’ll delve into the pros and cons of such decisions. We will critically examine leftist skepticism towards the electoral process and its potential efficacy, providing a platform for discourse.

The event will be moderated by Marija Jakovljević, feminist activist, member of the Torchlight collective and Multitudes Foundation Connector for Serbia.

Let us introduce our guest speakers: Magda Fabianczyk (co-founder of POMOC, a grassroots political home for Eastern Europeans living in the UK) and Iryna Tyshko (Gender expert, Head of NGO Public Alliance Political Action of Women, Ukraine).

And as a joyful addition we welcome all the participants to join our creative activity – drawing using traditional ukrainian symbols of welcoming the spring. An artist and poet Viktoriia Cherniakhivska will guide us through the creative part of the event.
