WHAT: Feminist English Speaking Club: Identity
WHERE: Feminist Workshop – Rynok square 42 (entrance from the courtyard)
WHEN: July 12 at 20:00
Do we need identity? If we need it, how we define it?
Speaking of personal identity we usually take into account factors such as time, memory, faith, or one’s relation to the community they belong. The objective of this club meeting is to facilitate dialogue on the topic, discussing what determines people’s identity and whether the identity of a person remains unaltered over time. Moreover, through group discussion and team activities we will investigate how feminism and the concept of intersectionality shaped the discourse on identity.
Topics are discussed in a relaxed and happy environment and we welcome people of all genders to join. We want the speaking club to be LGBTQ and female friendly, so any form of intolerant speech is not acceptable.
The workshop is led by Valentina Aslani, a human rights project officer from Italy who worked in the field of women’s rights both in the United Kingdom and India.
